This project combines an interest in repetitive structures and precedents of suspension bridges and truss systems in order to explore expectations of structural loading, force transfer, and their relationship to form. The structure allows for separation of primary and secondary program, leaving the pool to float above the ground-level entry and changing rooms. Four identical suspension trusses support a flat lattice-like surface for the pool to rest on, transferring weight to the ground through steel cables that runs underneath the trusses and piers at the periphery of the structure.
